Joan completely ignored Michael and asked Judi (this year she didn't call her "Lady" as she did the year before) how many times she had been nominated. Judi told her that she was just nominated once before, last year. Then Joan Rivers asked her what she had been nominated before. Judi, who did not answer "Duh!", took it like a trooper and reported that she had been nominated for Mrs. Brown. Michael occasionally looked over but looked quite uncomfortable. Joan, to her credit, was aware that Judi was going to appear on Broadway -- in fact, she said that she had tickets for the show - an announcement which probably gave Judi chills.

It's a great deal of fun to watch Joan interview and to cringe at her terrible lack of taste. Incredibly, though, Judi was much more gracious than most of the people who were interviewed by Joan and looked at her as though she were an old and treasured friend. Ugh!
