When I was in New York ... [the PBS announcer was speaking over Judi and I couldn't get the missing words, but there were only a couple missing] ... for four months doing a play I was absolutely amazed, really amazed about not only people who came to the show and waited afterwards, but people who wrote to me, people who stopped me in the street all the time asking me where Geoffrey or Lionel was, stopping me as Jean Pargetter, only knowing me as Jean Pargetter and only knowing Geoffrey as Lionel Hardcastle. In fact once when my husband was with me in New York somebody said "Where's your husband?" I said "he's right here." They said "no, no no - Lionel, your husband." So I was completely overwhelmed that so many people in America had seen this program and liked it. In fact we had one night where we had I don't know how many people from the internet came to see Amy's View and afterwards we all spoke together and it was, it was just, it was very refreshing and exciting to know, so thank you for watching As Time Goes By because it was a thrill for me in America and it's a thrill for Geoffrey and the company and me to know that it's so appreciated. So if you do enjoy it and you do watch it why don't you phone the number on your screen and pledge some money to the station. We'd like that..
